Night Crawler
A savory and complex sipper that mixes our Blackberry Cacao Nib Orange Peel Shrub with rosso vermouth, shiitake mushroom syrup, and sparkling lambrusco wine. Featured at our Acid Drop x Vino Carta event.
NIGHT CRAWLER
2 oz Macchia Rosso vermouth (or any sweet vermouth)
1/2 oz Cool Hand Co. Blackberry Cacao Nib Orange Peel Shrub
1/4 oz shiitake mushroom syrup (equal parts hot water, sugar and a few dried shiitake mushrooms; infused for 1 hour then strained)
2 oz lambrusco
1 pinch salt
Build over ice and stir briefly to combine.

Made with a base of organic blackberries from Stehly Farms in Valley Center, CA. We macerate the berries with organic cacao nibs and the peels of fresh organic oranges for up to one week. The result is a rich and complex shrub packed with jammy berry notes. Especially delicious with gin and mezcal, or drizzled on vanilla yogurt and ice cream.
For Cocktails: Add ½ oz shrub to 2 oz spirit plus soda or citrus
For Shrub Sodas: Mix ½ oz shrub per 6 oz bubbly water
Ingredients: Organic Blackberries, Organic Cane Sugar, Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Organic Cacao Nibs, Organic Orange Peels, Smoked Salt.
