Cool Hand Margarita

We took the classic Margarita recipe and cut the orange liqueur in half, replacing it with our shrubs for a lighter and more complex variation. Feel free to sub shrub flavors, or swap the tequila for another agave spirit like mezcal or sotol.


COOL HAND MARGARITA

1.5 oz tequila or mezcal

1/2 oz orange liqueur (or sub 1/4 oz agave syrup)

1/2 oz Cool Hand Co. shrub

3/4 oz fresh lime juice

Shake with ice and strain into glass.

Made with a base of organic strawberries from Stehly Farms and Be Wise Ranch in San Diego, CA. Whole berries are macerated with organic hibiscus flowers and fresh jalapeños for up to one week. The result is a jammy and tart shrub with fresh green heat on the back end. Perfect for margaritas, this shrub was born to be mixed with agave spirits but is also delicious with gin and white rum.

For Cocktails: Add ½ oz shrub to 2 oz spirit plus soda or citrus

For Shrub Sodas: Mix ½ oz shrub per 6 oz bubbly water

Ingredients: Organic Strawberries, Organic Cane Sugar, Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Organic Jalapeños, Organic Hibiscus Flowers, Salt.
